Boston, November 8. The People in New England as well as in
Old, are fill'd with the deepest Resentment at the shameful
Management in the Mediterranean; which has occasion'd such a
Loss to the British Interest, as will not be atoned for with
the Lives of a thousand exalted Villains while honest old
Blakeney's Name is never mention'd, but with the highest
Veneration and Esteem, that of B--g is not even thought of
but with Indignation and Contempt. . . [18 more lines]
Friday last was carried about Town. . . [6 lines] the
Effigies of a certain English Admiral, hung upon a Gibbet,
with a Wooden Sword on the right Side, and one of Steel run
thro' the Body; upon the Front of the Stage was written in
Capitals,
Come hither brave Boys, be jolly and sing,
Here's Death and Confusion to Admiral B--g.
